A few years ago, I was walking my dog. It is around 7.30 in the morning and I am talking to my husband on the phone. I am describing the beauty all around me, the vivid colors of the flowers, the birds sing their morning song, and the trees swaying from the breeze. Beauty is everywhere. There is a herd of white tail deer on the side of the road, by where I am walking. So I cross over, to the other side of the road, because deer have been known to come at you, to protect their young. I am explaining all this to Gary. Then all of a sudden, a deer barrels out from a bush. I feel the wind on my face as this deer passes in front of me. I scream. I jump. Gary says, “What happen?” I said, “A deer just jumped out of the bushes and scared me to death.” Gary then said, “Life just got even with you with all the scares you deliver to others. Hehe!” I love to scare people, my dog too, it is so fun. I call it playing. Life is full of heartache and sadness. We have to find the joy and laughter in the moment we are in. We cannot take life so seriously all the time. There needs to be balance. Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us, there is a time for every season under heaven. There is a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance… Today, scare someone, laugh and enjoy the day. For once this day is gone it is gone forever. So make the most of it. Enjoy! God Bless. Amen.
