Are you for God or Not?

Either you serve God or you don't.

January 27, 2026

Have you ever heard the saying, “Either you are for me or you are against me.” In this saying there is no room for gray—this is a black and white statement.  It is an ultimatum forcing a choice between total alliance or direct opposition, often used to eliminate neutrality.  It polarizes situations by presenting only two extreme options.  It demands immediate allegiance.

So, if this is true what is your relationship with God like.  Are you for God in all situations and circumstance in your life.  Or is it only sometimes when it is convenient for you.  Does God take a back seat when you gossip about someone, when you drink too much, eat too much, spend money you don’t have, have an affair, when you lie or cheat, when you are lazy, when you do not do what you say you will do and so on and so forth.  In your relationship with God, are you for or against Him?

“He that is not with me is against me: and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” (Luke 11:23 NIV)

This scripture reveals that either you are with Jesus or against Him; there is not middle ground or neutral position in one’s allegiance to Him.  It calls for decisive action, indicating that we as individuals are either growing closer and following in the likeness to Christ or moving away from Him.  It also reveals to us that there is a conflict between good and evil, between God and Satan in our lives—daily.  Either you serve God’s or Satan’s—there is no in-between, no neutral ground.

Makes you think, doesn’t it. He that is not with me is against me!  God Bless.  Amen.
