Are you tired and in need of rest

Are you tired and in need of rest and yet rest just doesn’t come?

January 18, 2025

Are you tired and in need of rest and yet rest just doesn’t come? Are you weary and just want to sit down and catch your breath, but time does not allow for that? Are you drained and worn-out and in need of a break, yet when you do try to sit down something comes up and you are unable to take that needed break? Scripture tells us in Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” In the hustle and bustle of life it can be hard to find time to rest. I have found when I become weary and burden I go to God. I listen to Christian music, meditate, read the Bible, but I also pray and pray. I pray while doing dishes, cleaning house, during a commercial, in the shower, at a stop light, walking—wherever I am, I pray. Because prayer is our lifeline to God. And whether you feel God’s presence or not know that God is there. God is there He will refill your weary spirit and restore you. He will give you peace, that peace which passes all understanding. So go to Him in prayer—spend time alone with our LORD. Psalm 62:1 tells us, “Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.” God Bless. Amen.
