It is in the stillness we find God.
September 8, 2026

“Be still, and know that I am God...” (Psalm 46:10a NIV)
Today and throughout the day be still before our Lord. As you sit in the quietness of the moment give thanks, talk to God and praise Him. For it is in the ceasing that we let go and focus on God. It is in the releasing, in the stop worrying, and trying to quit fixing everything on our own that we can be in communion with God. It is in the acknowledgment of God that we are able to find comfort and a safe refuge.
My prayer for you today is that you find peace in the midst of your troubles—that peace which passes all understand. Where there is pain, you find relief. Where there is confusion, you find clarity. Where there is loneliness, you find companionship. Where there is fear, you find courage. Where there is frustration, you find self-efficacy. Where there is anger, you find calmness. Where there is chaos, you find harmony. Where there is sadness, you find joy. Where there is illness, you find well-being. Where there is sin, you find forgiveness. Where there is hate, you find compassion. Where there is hopelessness, you find hope.
O Lord, help us to remember that you love us for who and what we are and that you forgive us, even though it is hard sometimes, to forgive ourselves. Help us to find joy in the everyday hustle and bustle of life. For you alone are our God, our refuge, our strength, our courage and our hope. Be with us now, O Lord. These things we pray. Amen. God Bless.
