Be Transformed!

Let us be transformed to this world, not conformed.

February 13, 2026

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.  Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:1-2 NIV)

The “thereforein this passage marks a pivot from theology to practical application, urging believers to live by the will of God verses what society deems worthy.  It is understanding that just because TV, social media, and or society says something is OK, if it goes against the teachings of the Bible, it is not OK.

This scripture tells us, we are to be transformed not conformed to the ways of the world.  Instead of letting the world press us into its mold, we as believers, are to step out, stand up for what God has called us to be and to do.  We are to live a life worthy of our Lord.  For as believers, when we accept Jesus us our Lord, we are transformed from the inside out.  Our actions reveal our faith!

Think about it, things have not really changed.  We are still dealing with this issue.  Because at times, it is easier to go along with the crowd.  To conform to society and what it dictates, rather than stand with God.  For if we are honest with ourselves, we do know what is right and what is wrong. Sad but true.

This scripture calls us, as believers to avoid conforming to the world’s patterns, instead finding transformation through a renewed mind to discern God’s good, pleasing, and perfect will.  This, is something we all need to do, as an on going action in our lives. God Bless.  Amen.
