Call to Me...

and I will answer you!

October 6, 2026

“Call to be and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah33:3 NIV)

“Call to Me” this part of the verse God invites people to pray and seek Him directly—whether it is the good times, the bad or the ugly times, we are to call out to God.

“I will answer you” is God’s promise to listen and reply to our prayer. We get hung up when we do not feel God answered our prayer the way we wanted, when we do not like the answer God gives us to our prayer.  When I was in grade school every night I would prayer for a new Schwinn bike.  I begged.  I pleaded.  I even bargained with God.  I never got the bike.  I had a perfectly good bike, but everyone else was getting a Schwinn bike.  Il earned that God answers prayers, but sometimes the answer is not how we want the prayer to be answered.

“Tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” what God does is reveals great truths and hopes, wisdom and understanding, strengths and guidance.  He is the one sure thing in this life of ours.

God never promised to be a magical God.  What God promised is to be there and show us how to maneuver in this life of ours—not by waving a wand to make our troubles disappear, but by walking beside us to give us the strength, wisdom and clarity.  It is something to remember.  God Bless.  Amen.
