Cast Your Cares Upon God.

God is always there!

July 25, 2026

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.  Cast all our anxiety on him because he cares for you.”(1 Peter5:6-7 NIV)

“Humble yourselves” To humble means having a modest view of our own importance and realizing we are not better than others.  It means we recognize our limits; we are willing to learn, we put others first, we admit when we make a mistake, and we are grateful. Are you humble?

Then the verse says, “under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.” Which reminds us to go to God always and submit to God’s time and power.  Trusting that God is there.  For when we yield control “under” God’s hand we stop struggling, deliverance and peace occur.  We have emotional, mental, and spiritual relief, for we are resting in God’s mighty hand.

Finally, we are told “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”  God cares for us!  We are to believe that God loves us and is there for us, always and forever.  The key is going to God in all things.

So, instead of carrying the crushing weight of stress and pride, worry and anxiety, we choose to surrender our life to God and God’s timing.  Remember we do not have to be strong enough to do everything alone.  We are to hand our burdens over to God who genuinely cares about us.  And in due time things always work out.  God Bless.  Amen.
