“This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil for yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.  Amen.” (Matthew 6:13 NIV)

           Prayer is how we communicate to God and God to us.  It is our lifeline to God.  It is how we express ourselves to God whether it is praise, adoration, giving thanks, requesting, confessing, complaining or just talking to a friend.

           My prayer for you today is that God fills your being with His presence—so come Holy Spirit come into us, move in and through us let us know that you are the guiding force in our lives.  Where there is sadness, give us hope.  Where there is hate, show us love.  Where there is confusion, give us clarity.  Where there is frustration, give us satisfaction.  Where there is pain, give us comfort.  Where there is brokenness, give us integrity.  Where there is illness, give us healing.  Where there is anxiety, give us peace.  Where there is loneliness, let us have a feeling of belonging.   Where there is sin, show us forgiveness.  Where there is embarrassment, let us feel assured.  O Lord our God in our humanness we have fallen short of what you have called us to do and to be.  Hear our prayer.  Come Lord Jesus come.  For we need you now.  These things we pray.  Amen.
