Do not be Anxious.

But in all things by prayer, and always give thanks.

September 28, 2026

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Philippians 4:6 NIV)

This scripture tells us certain things to do, it tells us to stop worrying—do not fear, be anxious or stress from your thoughts.  Pray instead—bring every problem to God through prayer.  Give thanks—we are to thank God for His help, love, goodness, mercy, compassion, and forgiveness.  And then we are to present our requests to God—where we ask for things.  Good advice.  Prayer is our lifeline to God.  It becomes our foundation with God.

Today, my prayer for you, is that we are able to turn to God, right now, and hand our worries, fears, and anxious thoughts to Him. O Lord God Almighty, give us the strength in every situation we face today, to bring it to You.  Where we are hurting, we give it to You.  Where we are frustrated, we give it to You. Where we are angry, we give it to You.  Where we are anxious, we give it to You.  Where we are fearful, we give it to You.  Where we are sad, we give it to You.  Where we are lonely, we give it to You.  Where we are lost, we give it to You.  Where we are confused, we give it to You.  We bring all our specific needs and heartaches to You.  Thank You for listening to us, for loving us unconditionally, for always forgiving us, and giving us hope and courage to keep putting one foot in front of the other.  Even when we ask for help, we thank You for Your faithfulness and the many blessings already in our life.  Please fill us with that peace which passes all understanding.  These things we pray.  Amen.  God Bless.
