Do you want to serve our Lord?

April 15, 2023

Do you want to serve our Lord? Is it a priority to you, doing what the Lord wants you to do? Some people think going to church is serving the Lord. Others think teaching is how they serve God. Then there are those that go on missions, helping those in need. Some serve the Lord by praying, reading the Word, counseling those in need, singing and creating songs about how great our Lord is. There are Doctors and nurses who give their time in helping the less fortunate. There are evangelist and authors who share what a great God we serve and so many other ways to serve our Lord. How do you serve? 1 Samuel 12:24 reads, “Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.” Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 tells us, “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” Here is a thought. Every morning, as you are getting ready for the day, say this prayer; “Lord, use me today to glorify You, in all that I do. Let my words, be Your words; my thoughts, be Your thoughts; my hands and feet, be Your hands and feet. So that, in all the things I do, it will represent You and others can see what a Mighty God I serve. These things I pray.” It just might change the way you do things, maybe for the better! It is something to try. God Bless. Amen. Denise
