“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8a Time passes, so quickly, in the busyness of our lives. We all have things to do. We even have lists of things to do, that never seem to get done. Sometimes, it feels as if we do not have enough time in the day. And day after day goes by and so does time. Time has neither gone faster or slower. Time just passes by and if we are not intentional about doing things, things do not get done, nor do we find time to cherish the moment we are in. Thus, we have to prioritize, so that the most important things are done. For me, family is one of the most important things in life. It is a priority, I try to make time for my family, and making sure, they know how much I love them and how special they are to me. Sometimes, I am better at it, than other times. Another important priority in my life is to spend time with God. Like my family, I have to set time aside to spend with Him on a daily basis. I once preached a sermon titled, “I’m so busy being busy, I don’t have time for God!” See, the only way, you can develop a relationship with someone is to spend time with that person and this includes God. Today, take 5 minutes to be with God, talk to HIM, and give thanks. Then do this daily for 6 weeks. If you do something for 6 weeks, they say it becomes a habit. This habit just might change the way you think, act and talk. Try it and see what happens. God Bless. Amen.
