Ecclesiastes 3:15-17 reads, “Whatever is has already been, and what will be has been before; and God will call the past to account. And I saw something else under the sun: In the place of judgment—wickedness was there, in the place of justice—wickedness was there. I said to myself, “God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.” Think about this scripture, there is nothing new under heaven. Good and evil, beauty and wickedness, honesty and corruption have been around from the beginning. The wicked want to gain in power and the good want to stop the evil. What does God say to the Christians of old and therefore to us today? Romans 12:21 reads, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Isaiah 5:20 says, “Woe to them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Even if you think evil is overcoming this world, remember God overcame sin through His Son Jesus the Christ. God is with us. Therefore, let us stand united in prayer. Let us be the light unto this world, for we are God’s people. And remember, “No matter how powerful evil may seem, good always holds the ultimate victory.” (unknown) For darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. And we are the light of this world. God Bless. Amen.
