Enjoy this day, God is with you!

April 12, 2023

Enjoy this day, God is with you! Did you enjoy your childhood? Do you think it was special? Do you have fond memories of your youth? I do, for me it was great. We explored our neighborhood, road bikes, roller-skated, walked fences, captured tarantulas, played kick the can and hiding-go-seek, threw water balloons, played in the river, and hung out. We left in the morning and had to be back by dinner. If we were late, we were in trouble. We even drank from the hose when we were thirsty. Memories they are forever sacred. When you think back over your life, do you have good memories? Most people do not realize how special their childhood was until they get older. We do not cherish the time we are living in. We want the future to hurry up and get here. Then, it gets here and long for days gone by. Silly but true. Let me ask you a question. Do you remember when you first believed in our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ? What was it like? Were you excited and have fond memories? Are you still as excited to serve our Lord? Psalm 100:1 tells us, “Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” Do not let your love of God pass you by. Give thanks and serve Him with gladness, daily. Cherish your moments with our LORD. Do not put off things that the Lord asks you to do. Remember, this is the first day of the rest of your life. Make this day a great day! Enjoy it, for you do not know what the future will bring. God Bless. Amen. Denise
