Fear is a strange thing.

Fear is a strange thing. It can stop you dead in your tracks. It can cause you to faint and throw up. It can even paralyze you into not functioning in your normal way. Fear can cause you to shake uncontrollably and scream at the top of your lungs. Sometimes when you are afraid you are unable to even make a sound. When you are experiencing fear, logic and understanding go out the window. All you can think of is getting to a safe place. Lamentations 3:57 reads, “You came near when I called you, and you said, “Do not fear.” 1 John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out all fear.” 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” Proverbs 29:25 states, “The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe.” Today, place your fear in God’s hands. Try not to let fear control your life. Pray, listen to Christian music, exercise, sing, dance, laugh, journal, see a counselor, read the Bible and pray some more, for if you keep your eyes upon the Lord, fear has no control over you. No matter what you are going through, remember God is there giving you the courage you need to face your fear. He is always there. He will still your fearful heart. So be still and know that God is there. Therefore, go to God, He will be there with you to help set you free of your fear. God Bless. Amen.
