God forgives you. Now forgive yourself! What mistake

Now forgive yourself!

April 29, 2023

God forgives you. Now forgive yourself! What mistake have you made that bothers you? What sin have you committed that haunts you? What have you done that you cringe, every time you think of it? We all sin and fall short of God’s glory. Sin is anything that separates you from God, whether you view the sin as a big one or a little one. It still separates you from God. Learning to forgive our self for the wrongs we have committed is the key to mercy. This is hard for us to comprehend, that God will and does pardon us, forgive us, always and forever. In our humanness, it is difficult to understand why God would, when we find it so hard to forgive our self! Today, if there is something that you need to forgive, a wrongs that you have committed, go to God in prayer—give it to God. Believe that He will, and does, forgive you. You do not have to punish yourself anymore. God loves you! Now love yourself, enough to forgive yourself and let it go. 1 John 1:9 reminds us, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Isaiah 43:25 tells us, “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.” Finally Daniel 9:9 says, “The LORD our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him…” Scripture reminds us we are forgiven. Believe it—now forgive yourself, and there is mercy. God Bless. Amen.
