God is in Every Moment.

These are the moments of our lives.

“My times are in your hand…”(Psalm 31:15 NIV)

In this verse, the word “times” refers to the specific occurrences, seasons, and changing circumstances of life.  By placing these “times” in God’s hand, the Bible suggests that the succession of moments is not governed by luck, fate, or the whims of enemies, but by God.

This verse shows, that when David wrote it, he used “times” to include moments of great joy and deep sorrow.  He declares that in each moment of his life, God’s “hands” were there.  He acknowledged that God holds the power to deliver us from our enemies.  That God is intimately involved in each minute of every day in our life.  That God, even when life feels out of control, God is there.

Think about it, all we really have is a succession of moments.  A moment is generally defined as a very short, indefinite period of time or a specific instant.  These moments might be good, bad, or ugly.  But they are our moments.  And when you look back over your life you will see, that in those moments, God was there. He is always there, we just have to have the eyes to see, the ears to hear, and the wisdom to discern Him. God Bless. Amen.
