God is so Good.

The goodness of God!

March 27, 2026

“The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth.”(Exodus 34:6 NIV)

Goodness is the quality of being morally excellent, kind, righteous, and virtuous, often demonstrated through selfless actions that benefit others.  It represents a core, upright in character—that goes beyond mere actions to include honest and compassionate motivations.

The goodness of God is His essential nature of perfect holiness, benevolence, and righteousness, meaning He is the ultimate standard of good and acts only in accordance with that nature. It represents His kindness, mercy, and generosity toward all creation, defining Him as the source of all good things and loving compassion.

This scripture portrays the goodness of God as His fundamental nature—He is inherently good, does good, and provides goodness to all, especially those who trust and believe in Him.  The goodness of God is described as everlasting, comforting, and a refuge, providing strength and mercy even in difficult times.  His goodness is frequently linked to His enduring love and faithfulness.

God is good.  God is so good that He sustains the breath of even the person who defies Him. The goodness of God is everlasting. He is patient and forgiving.  He works in and through our failures—never giving up on us.

Oh, how amazing is the goodness of God.  Because God is good, He is therefore viewed, as a loving Father who brings goodness to all, even into our broken situations. God Bless.  Amen.
