“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23 BG)

Lamentations, is found in the Old Testament, it is a book of sorrow and lamenting.  This scripture is in a setting of sorrow—the prophet Jeremiah wrote while weeping over the destruction of Jerusalem.  

This verse shows us that even in deep pain and sorrow there is hope. Because God mercies never end.  God’s love never stops, even when life is hard and at times unbearable.  Nor does His compassion ever run dry.  God is infinite, unbreakable, undeniable, and impossible to exhaust, great is His faithfulness.  

Every morning is a new beginning—God gives fresh mercy and grace every single day.  This scripture does not tell us our problems go away.  It reminds us, every morning is a new beginning.  With God’s unending love, and His mercy which never end, we know that God is faithful—great is His faithfulness—Lord unto me!

For God keeps His promises.  He is always with us, even when others leave.  His faithfulness means He gives us strength, peace, and hope and the assurance that with Him on our side we can face any storms life throws our way.  God forgives us when we stumble.  He delivers us from evil.  Great is God’s faithfulness—sometimes we forget this.  Today, remember God is faithful, His mercies never end.  God Bless.  Amen.
