Have you ever noticed that we have a tendency to want things that we do not have.

Have you ever noticed that we have a tendency to want things that we do not have. For example, on a hot summer day we can wish for cooler days. During the work week we wish that Friday would hurry and get here. When we were younger, we could hardly wait for the years to go by so we would get older. We have even come up with a saying, “The grass is greener on the other side of the fence!” So how do we learn to be content with what we have? Or should we? Should we continue to believe that something else is better than what we have? Learning to be grateful in the moment you are in, is the key to happiness. For if you constantly believe that something else is better than what you have at this very moment you will never have a chance at happiness. Making the most out of each moment you are in—being grateful for what you have creates happiness, for you will never be happy about anything if you are not content with what you have. Ecclesiastes 6:9 reads, “Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don’t have.” It is something to ponder. God Bless. Amen.
