How are things going for you today?

How are things going for you today? Are you having a good day? Is your day, OK? Are you frustrated? Or are you filled with worry and anxiety? Are you exhausted and yet the day is just beginning? Sometimes, life just gets in the way and all you want to do is hide and hope the problems will just go away. We all know that problems do not disappear. One thing I have found that will help you get through difficult times is to go to God in prayer. One prayer I say is, “God I can’t do this. Help me.” A lot of times it becomes a chant and the more I say it the more I rest in God. Today, whatever you are going through give your problem or problems to God. Cry out your hurts and your concerns—your frustrations and worries. Lay them at His feet. Matthew 11:28-30 reads, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Philippians 4:7 says, “And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Finally remember what Psalms 91 tells us, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, who abides in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.” God is with you. He will give you the strength and courage you need. Hold on to Him. Together you will get through this. God Bless. Amen.
