How do you deal with stress? Because everyone has stress in their life, no one is exempt. So do you get angry when you are stressed? Do you internalize your stress and it comes out in different forms of illness? Do you worry? Are you anxious about this or that? Do you fret? To fret means to be constantly or visibly worried or anxious. When we fret, we are worried and anxious at the same time, but make no mistake, all people worry, or are anxious, or fret. Why, why do we worry and become anxious, because all of the worrying in the world, does not change the situation! The Bible says, “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7) “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Let the day’s own trouble be sufficient for the day.” (Matthew 6:34) “Have no anxiety about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:4-7) Sometimes, we forget to just go to God in prayer and leave our problems with Him. For in all reality, fretting over things never changes the situation. In fact, at times it makes it worse. Today, let us cast our cares upon the LORD. He will see us through.
