“I am with you” means that someone is standing by you, supporting you, and sharing your experience, signifying their presence and connection with you, no matter what situation you are facing: it often conveys a sense of comfort and reassurance that you are not alone. So, if someone one said “I am with you” how does that make you feel? Good, reassured, hopeful—right! Scripture tells us, “I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you…” (Genesis 28:15) “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6) “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9) “So we can confidently say, ‘The LORD is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?’” (Hebrews 13:6) Isn’t it comforting to hear those words—I am with you? Sometimes we forget that God is with us in all situations and circumstance, that He is the one sure thing in this life of ours. For our God is our all in all, a very presence in times of trouble and good times as well. Sometimes we just need to be reminded of this. “God is with us!” God Bless. Amen.
