I remember as a child the excitement on the night before Christmas, because on Christmas morning I would get to open Christmas presents and find out what Santa Clause brought me. I remember how excited I was to graduate from High School, looking forward to the many possibilities the future held for me. I remember the birth of my 3 boys and how I was filled with wonder and anticipation for my child which I would soon have. I can still recall that wonderful feeling of anticipation and excitement. I remember the day I saw Gary at my 30th High School reunion and asked God if I could have him. Oh the joy and excitement that filled my soul on meeting him again all those years later. I remember when God called me into the ministry—it was such an amazing, wonderful feeling, excitement filled my being. There was joy and anticipation for the future—this feeling is so hard to articulate and yet it is one of the strongest feelings I have ever had. When you believe in the LORD God Almighty it is about feelings, emotions, and hope. It is hard to describe but you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is and will be the most important decision in your life that you will ever make. If you have forgotten why you believe in our LORD, remember that day when you accepted Him as your personal Savior. Remember? Today if you haven’t talked to God in a while do so—pray, read the Bible, sing songs of praise and adoration, listen to Christian music and remember God loves you and accepts you for who and what you are. You are precious and wonderful in God’s eyes. Make God a priority, because it is the most important decision you have ever made. Revel in the sense of excitement that it brings. Revel in the knowledge that you are a beloved child of God—God loves you always and forever. Love Him the way He loves you. God Bless. Amen.
