I want to believe in magic. I would

I want to believe in magic.

January 8, 2024

I want to believe in magic. I would love to wave my magic wand and poof everything and everyone is happy and wonderful. I want things to be simple and good, with everyone being kind. I want a life of ease, with no heartache or pain. I want happiness, laughter and fun, but that is not the way of life is it? Life is filled with moments of joy and happiness, then all of a sudden pain and heartache occur. You wonder, how will I ever get through this. Life is life. Today, whatever is transpiring in your life, remember this moment will move on to the next moment and the next moment. God gives us each a new day; each day is a new beginning. Each new day is filled with moments, which we have the opportunity to make the most out of, if we choose to. Or we can feel sorry for our self. The choice is ours to make. So what will you chose today? Will you trust God, to see you through each moment of the day, knowing that with God on your side you can get through anything! Or will you feel sorry for yourself and go on a pity-party? For when, we do not trust God, we want magic to save us. That is why we all want to believe in magic—so our life will be easier. Right? So the next time, when your life is hard, when you are down and out—trust God, believe that God can and will work through the situation you are in. Then pray for the eyes to see, the ears to hear and the wisdom you need to get through the situation you are in. Psalms 62:7-8 reminds us, “My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” Psalms 112:6-7 says, “Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD.” God is with us. God Bless. Amen.
