In the early 1990’s a parishioner told me, “I love to iron. As I iron, I pray. I pray over all my husband shirts, pants and I even iron his boxers. I just love him so much. I want to surround him in love.” What a loving gesture, to surround your love one in prayer. It shows a beautiful love. In 1 Corinthians 16:14 tells us, “Do everything in love.” So I ask you, do you do everything in love? When you speak to your spouse or your children is it in love? When you do a task, do you do it in love or are you resentful? We choose to be loving and kind or mean and resentful. We choose, to make the most out of a situation. We choose, to have a smile on our face or a frown. We choose. Today what type of day will you have a good day, doing everything in love or a frustrating day? The choice is yours. Sure, I realize that life gets in the way and sometimes life can be very hard and trying, but you have a choice. You can make the most out of the situation and show God’s love or you can feel sorry for yourself. The choice is yours.
