Let Us Pray!

We are to pray always!

June 18, 2026

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstance; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV)

“Rejoice always” is a command to maintain a spirit of joy.  “Pray continually” encourages to be in prayer daily—throughout the day continuously.  “Give thanks in all circumstances” tell us to always be thankful in the good, the bad, and the ugliness of life.

Today, my prayer for you is that you may find God when you least expect it. May you make time for God during a commercial, at a stop light, while doing dishes, or out walking.  Say little prayers such as: “Thank you God for this day. For my health.  For the desire to spend time alone with You.”  Then as the day unfolds find things to be thankful for your spouse, your children and so on and so forth be grateful for all that you have. O Lord you are King of kings, Lord of lords mighty and wonderful are You.  I give thanks.  I rejoice that You love me for who and what I am—a beloved child of Yours.  O Lord use me today to glorify You in all that I do. These things I pray.  Amen. God Bless
