Life Happens!

Learning to stay focused on God is the key.

June 19, 2026

“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.  Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.” (Psalm 143:8 NIV)

This is a verse of prayer and trust, asking God for morning guidance and assurance of His unfailing love.  Which means starting each day by seeking God’s love, placing our trust in Him, and surrendering our life into His care.  So that He will show us the right path to take.  Easier said than done.

Yes, we can all start our morning with God.  By waking up and anchoring ourselves to Him, before any chaos or anxieties occur.  The issue is once our day begins, once the chaos, frustrations, and pain occur can we stay centered in God's presence!  Life happens and sometimes when life happens, we lose sight of God.

Can we truly say, “Show me the way and trust God to see us through?”  I believe we can, but first we must have a relationship with God and even then, it is sometimes hard to stay focused on Him. That is why reading the Word, praying, meditating and listening to Christian music is so important because it helps us stay focused on God.

Today, start your morning with God, talk to Him off and on throughout the day, at each meal, and before you go to bed.  Read the Bible, pray, and listen to Christian music.  This helps us to stay focused on God and when life happens ,we have a better chance of trusting God and following His guidance.  It is something to try.  God Bless.  Amen.
