Life is full of awesome moments that are accented by times of unbelievable heartache and pain. Why is it, when life seems to be going wonderfully, something horrible happens. When this happens, all we can do is stop, catch our breath, and pray. We know we were never promised that life would always be fun, delightful, and great. We know bad things happen! We just are never prepared. What we were promised is that God would be with us in all situations and circumstances, the good times and the bad. That He will even walk with us down the valley of the shadow of death. Giving us the strength we need every moment of every day. All we have to do is turn to God. Joshua 1:9 reads, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Romans 8:38-39 says, “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rules, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our LORD.” Then Matthew 28:20b tells us, “…and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.” Sometimes in life, we just need to be reminded of this. And then realize, all we can do is hold on to our Lord. That is how we get through those difficult situations. God Bless. Amen.
