Love, kindness, honesty, trustworthiness, and forgiveness are the key ingredients to life! Parents are to teach us right from wrong. They are supposed to give us unconditional love, acceptance and forgiveness. Good parents set limits and boundaries, trying to instill good values in us, such as being decent, honest, trustworthy human beings. They also try to teach us that if you work hard, be committed to what you doing, and always do your best, good things will happen. Some parents accomplish this and some do not. Some parents try to be just friends with their children, that never works. A parent is a parent, always. The good news is, if your parents did not instill these values in you, these values, can find them in the Bible. Such as the 10 Commandments found in Exodus 20:2-17, the two great commandments found in Matthew 22:35-40, The Golden Rule found in Matthew 7:12 and the best definition of love is in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, but the Bible also talks about forgiveness such as Matthew 18:21-22. These scriptures, teach us to be decent, honest, kind, caring and trustworthy people. Being an honest, trustworthy, compassionate person is a good thing. See, anyone can be rude, hateful, and inappropriate. It takes control and a good, kind, heart to be the type of person God wants you to be. Sometimes, we just need to be reminded of this. God Bless. Amen.
