Most people, when trying to reach a goal, see the effort in getting there as a means to an end.

Most people, when trying to reach a goal, see the effort in getting there as a means to an end. They don’t always take time to experience each moment as life unfolds. Such as: I want to be happy! I want to enjoy my life! I want to live life to the fullest! Just because you want or say something does not mean it will happen. What needs to occur is learning to live in the moment you are in. Saying, “I want to be happy!” does not make you happy. Choosing to be happy only occurs by being intentional about it, moment by moment—step by step. Life happens. You can choose to let life beat you down or you can choose to make the most out of every situation you are in and not let it get you down. Things that can change your perspective on life. When you wake up each morning smile at yourself in the mirror and say, “I are going to have a good day. I woke up.” Laugh at the moments that frustrate you, remember this too will pass. Life is too short to be upset by what life throws your way. John 15:11 reminds us, “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” Smile, laugh at the things to come, look at the beauty around you, dance, sing, praise God and give thanks, enjoy for this is the first day of the rest of your life. Make it a good one, no matter what life throws your way. God bless. Amen.
