My husband Gary and I are watching the second season of 1923.

My husband Gary and I are watching the second season of 1923. It is an action packed, scary, filled with tribulation after tribulation, wondering what next will happen, type of TV series. After the 3rd episode I said to Gary, “We are going to have to watch something else so I can sleep tonight!” Throughout the night I thought about what had transpired so far in the series and realized how evil, hardship, and frustration exists in our daily lives. And the one sure thing throughout our lives and throughout time is God. Psalms 121:1-2 reads, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 91:1-2 says, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” In life, sometimes all we can do is hold onto God to get us through the situation we are in, for He is our all in all, a mighty help in times of trouble. “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.” (Psalm 91:4-6) Remember God is with you. He is the one sure thing in this life of ours. God Bless. Amen.
