Oh Lord, help me in my unbelief.

Oh Lord, help me in my unbelief. We doubt. To doubt means, a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction. Sometimes, when we doubt, we are worried about a decision or what the future will bring. We can even doubt our relationships, whether with a spouse, child, relative or friend. The Bible tells us about doubting. In the Book of John, we hear the story about doubting Thomas. He could not comprehend that Jesus could and did reveal himself after he ascended into heaven. Thomas doubted! Thomas had to see with his own eyes that Jesus was amongst him. How many of us doubt our LORD too? How many of us do not believe that our Lord is bigger than any situation that we are in? How many of us question our Lord, because life at times is too hard to deal with! Doubt is a very powerful emotion that affects all of us in our personal lives. Sometimes, we just have to suspend our doubt and have faith. John 20:24-29 reads, “Now Thomas one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, ‘We have seen the LORD!’ But he said to them, ‘Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.’ A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you!’ Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.’ Thomas said to him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Then Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.’” What situation are you in that you need to trust our LORD and just believe that it will work out. For sometimes, things are not immediately obvious. We just have to wait and trust our Lord, and stop doubting and believe. It is something to remember. God Bless. Amen.
