One of my favorite songs comes from Psalms 42:1, “As the deer pants for flowing streams, so my soul pants after you, God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God." The song As the Deer goes like this, “As the deer panteth for the water, So my soul longeth after Thee, You alone are my heart’s desire, And I long to worship Thee. You alone are my strength, my shield, To You alone may my spirit yield, You alone are my heart’s desire, And I long to worship Thee. As the deer panteth for the water, So my soul longeth after Thee. You alone are my heart’s desire, And I long to worship Thee…” The scripture and the song talk about how we should long to be in the presence of the Lord. How we should pant after the LORD God Almighty. In other words, we need to seek, pursue, attempt to find time for God daily, throughout the day, having a desire to want to spend time alone with our LORD. Today seek God. Tell Him your hurts and your concerns, your joys and your sorrows. Talk to Him in the shower, in the car, while you are exercising or any other place you can think of. For our God is an awesome God. He lives. He is there. Go to Him. God Bless. Amen.
