Our Choices Matter.

Whether big or small our choices matter.

August 5, 2026

“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones.  But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.” (Luke 16:10 NLT)

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” (Luke 16:10 NIV)

To variations of the same scripture both are saying the same thing.  Which one speaks to you?

This scripture is about making choices—big or small.  For the choices we make shows our true character.  Small choices matter just as much as large choices.  How you hand minor tasks proves if you are ready for big ones.  Doing what is right in small things leads to more trust.  Trust and character go hand in hand.

So, what type of character do you have?  Your character is your true inner nature, shown by your daily habits and the choices you make. Are you honest, do you have integrity, are you faithful, do you have self-control, are you humble, and do you treat people fairly?

Such as returning extra change, paying for small items, giving accurate account of the hours you work, admitting mistakes, keeping your promises, refusing to gossip, telling the truth, respecting others privacy, returning items you have borrowed, being reliable and dependable. How about, living the life of a person of God through your actions and words.  Doing what you say and following through with integrity and honesty.  When you do this people see the type of person you truly are.

For true faith starts with how you use what you have right now.  So, when you are around others what does your character reveal?  It is something to remember for actions always speak louder than words. God Bless. Amen.
