Our Faith is Revealed by our Light.

What do your actions reveal?

April 12, 2026

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.” (Matthew 5:16 NIV)

To “let your light shine” means living in a way that reflects the character, truth, and love of God through your daily actions, character, and words—through what you say, what you do, how you act.  How you act daily and throughout the day is not for personal praise or glory, but so that others see what a mighty and wonderful God you serve.

Think about it, this analogy of light reveals how we ought to act.  For light is naturally meant to be seen. This verse instructs us to live openly as believers in God rather than hiding our beliefs or blending into the crowd.  As believers we know what is right and true, and we are to stand up for our beliefs.

This scripture highlights the importance of letting faith be visible in our daily life.  By upholding our beliefs, our good deeds are revealed, our light shines forth.   And we act out of kindness, charity, integrity, and in truth and patience, that naturally flows from a heart aligned with God.  For actions always reflect our faith.  And what does our faith reveal?  Let our faith reveal the light of Jesus—let it shine forth.  God Bless.  Amen.
