Pray!

We call upon the Lord.

August 9, 2026

“Pray without ceasing.” (1Thessalonians 5:17 NIV)

“The Lord is near to all who call upon him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18 NIV)

“Throw all your worries on him.  He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7NIV)

Prayer is our connection directly to God.  Prayer can bring peace, strength, comfort, hope, rest, courage, wisdom, forgiveness, health of mind and spirit, healing, and love to the one who is praying and to those who are being prayed for.

Today, let us pray together.  O Lord our God, we come before You, asking for strength, for life seems to be bombarding us from every direction.  It is like every time we try to come up for air and take a breath something else happens. Tiredness is there, and we ask You, “Why is this happening?”  Help us to find hope, for You are the God of hope.  Help us to find strength, for You are the God of strength.  Helps us to find courage, for You are the God of courage. Help us to find peace, for You are the God of peace.  Help us to find wisdom, for You are the God of wisdom.  Help us to find acceptance, for You are the God of acceptance.  Help us to find healing whether it is mental, physical or spiritual, for You are the God of healing.

Sometimes O Lord, we forget, You are the God of all things.  You are our all in all.  When we are down You lift us up.  When we are in need, You are there.  When life is topsy turvy, we call upon You.  So, we come before You on this day, praying.  Help us O lord.  Hear our prayer.  These things we pray.  Amen. God Bless.
