Serve the Lord, submit unto His ways and He will guide you and sustain you.

Serve the Lord, submit unto His ways and He will guide you and sustain you. The word submit, can have a bad connotation to it, because the negative meaning of this word, can create a slave-like behavior or abuse. The definition of submit, means to accept or yield to a superior force or to the authority or will of another. When we submit to the LORD, we surrender control of our life to Him. We give our life over to God. We surrender and serve our LORD with gladness. This type of submission does not mean leaving your brain at the altar, it does not mean doing things that will harm another human being, nor does it mean living in fear, nor acting out of fear. When we submit to the LORD, we try to follow His guidelines and the way He would have us live out our lives. Proverbs 3:6 tells us “…in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” When we submit our lives to God, we trust God to see us through whatever we are going through—trusting God to give us the strength and courage we need to get through the situation we are in. A prayer, I pray is, “I can’t do this alone LORD, you are going to have to help me. I accept and yield to your guidance and wisdom. Lead me on the path I should go. I trust you. I believe in you.” It is something to remember, for when you submit to the Lord, it is a good thing. God Bless. Amen.
