“She seems like such a nice person. But

She seems like such a nice person.

“She seems like such a nice person. But when you truly look at who she is you see that she is truly dishonest and unreliable.” “He seems like such a kind person. But you find out that he is a pedophile.” “I trusted her with my parents. But she stole thousands of dollars from them.” “He seemed so good at investing our money. But it was a scam, those who invested with him lost everything.” These stories are true. Sometimes we are fooled by others. We want to believe they are honest. We want to believe what they say is true. We want it so badly that we do not let ourselves see what is truly happening. Because we want to trust others. Learning to have the eyes to see, the ears to hear, and the wisdom to discern is key. Matthew 7:15 says, “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” Words of Jesus, scary words, but very true words and these words are still very important to us today. Then later in Matthew 16:23, “Jesus turned and said to Peter,” Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” See anyone can cause you to stumble and fall short of God’s Glory. Anyone! Today, pay attention, research and find out what is really happening. Do not believe something just because the TV says it is true or another person says it is true. Find out for yourself! Investigate the facts. Then do not forget to do all thing in alliance to God’s will and stay true to what you know is right, good and be humble. God Bless. Amen.
