Sometimes in life, we want something to happen

Sometimes in life, we want something to happen right away.

November 18, 2023

Sometimes in life, we want something to happen right away. Then time goes by, what we want has not transpired so we wonder, “Why, O LORD, why don’t You answer my prayers!” You begin to doubt and question the LORD God Almighty. You think, “Why isn’t my prayer being answered God. You answer other people’s prayers!” I truly believe that waiting is not one of our virtues. We want what we want, when we want it! So what do you do when one of your prayers has not been answered? What I have learned, is to go to God in prayer, read the scriptures, then let go and let God—trusting Him to see me through. Today try to trust in the LORD and lean not on your understanding. (Proverbs 3:5) And as time goes by watch and see the mighty things God does in your life. Isaiah 26:3-4 reads, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.” Remember Rome was not conquered in a day. Be still, trust, and know that this too will pass. God Bless. Amen.
