Sometimes, in our life, someone or something that we have relied on is no longer there.

July 26, 2025

Sometimes, in our life, someone or something that we have relied on is no longer there. Whether it is a spouse, a parent, a job, a pet or something that seems quite stable is now gone. Where depending upon this person or thing is no longer a part of our life. When this occurs, we feel lost all alone and at times afraid. The one sure thing that will never shift on us is God. Psalm 62:8 tells us, “Trust in him at all times, O people, pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.” Exodus 15:2 reads, “The LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.” Isaiah 26:4 says, “Rely upon the Lord forever. For in God the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.” At times, God is the only thing that keeps us going—so hold on to Him. He will see you through, step by step, moment by moment. For other things will leave you but God never does! God Bless. Amen.
