Sometimes life just gets down right hard. You

Sometimes life just gets down right hard.

December 27, 2023

Sometimes life just gets down right hard. You want to give up and yet it is not in your nature to do so. Thus, you persevere hoping that things will get better and yet they do not, because right now, it is as good as it is going to get. That is life. Life is filled with joy and laughter; then all of a sudden, things come crashing in on you and you want to say just give me a moment so I can pull myself together. Here is the thing, even when life is at its worst, God can and will help you through whatever you are going through. God is the one sure thing and sometimes, God is the only thing that can get you through this life of ours. Romans 53-5 tells us, “More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit which has been given to us.” When life is at its worst, what I do is I turn to God. Hoping, praying, reading scripture, listening to Christian music, praying and praying and then I trust God. Sometimes, that is all I can do to get me through. Try it for life seems better with God helping you through it. God Bless. Amen.
