Sometimes not taking an opportunity is the right thing to do. Sometimes saying no is what needs to happen. Sometimes backing down will help the situation. Sometimes being quiet needs to transpire and just keeping your mouth shut. Sometimes in life not saying what you think can and will help the situation. When I was growing up my mother always said, “If you can’t say anything nice do not say anything at all.” This is still true today. Ephesians 4:29 reads, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” Ecclesiastes 5:5-6a tells us, “It is better to say nothing than to make a promise and not keep it. Don’t let your mouth make you sin.” It is something to think about. God Bless. Amen.
