Take a chance, begin your task, God is there.

Take a chance, begin your task, God is there. Have you ever felt that you missed an opportunity? Have you ever been afraid to step out into the unknown, because your fear got in the way? Have you ever put something off and then it was too late to even begin the task? Has God, ever asked you to do something and you did not do what the Lord asked? Missed opportunities, failed obligations, unresolved commitments, lost freedoms, dreams never manifested and hope diminished. See, you miss a hundred percent of chances, when you do not begin. Philippians 4:11-13 reads, “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Isaiah 12:2 reminds us, “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” The first thing to do, in anything in life, is take the first step. Trust God to see you through. Try and then try again. Remember, in the 1920’s, a journalist asked Thomas Edison how it felt to fail 1,000 times in his attempt to invent the incandescent lightbulb. Edison replied, “I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The lightbulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.” This is what life is about, taking the first step with God at your side. God Bless. Amen. Denise
