Let us put on the full Armor of God daily!
September 10, 2026

“Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests…” (Ephesians 6:14-18a NIV)
Life can get frustrating, painful, and annoying. But life can be wonderful and good too. Life is filled with ups and downs that are accented by times of great joy. When you think about it, life can get hard at times. When life is hard what do you do? Do you rant and rave, do you scream and shout, do you feel sorry for yourself, do you see a counselor, a minster, read the Bible, pray?
The Bible tells us to pray and put the full armor of God on daily. When we put the Armor of God on daily, we are better prepared for what might come. For the belt of truth holds the rest of the armor together. The breastplate of righteousness protects vital organs, especially the heart, it represents the moral guard of righteousness and living a life aligned with God’s will. The shoes of the gospel of peace provides a firm stance, allowing believers to stand secure in God’s word. The shield of faith represents active trust in God, which deflects attacks, doubts, and temptations. The helmet of salvation protects the mind and thoughts. The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, used to cut through deception and defend against spiritual attacks.
When we read this scripture, when we put on the Armor of God on daily, we are better protected—our mind, heart, soul, and spirit—from temptation and moral failure. Today, let us put on the full Armor of God on—thus we will be ready for however the day unfolds. God Bless. Amen.
