The Lord is our Help.

We get knocked down but God helps us up.

“He that dwells in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psalm 91:1 NIV)

“He that dwells” implies a permanent residence, not a temporary visit. When you dwell in the Lord you are consistently relying on God—which makes faith your daily home.  It is where you dwell with God—your shelter.

“The shelter of the Most High” in ancient times, provided safety from one enemies, storms, and heat.  A place to go for help and security.

“Abide in the shadow of the Almighty” it is a place of being close to someone.  Thus, when you are in the shadow of God, you are close to Him always for His power shields you from life’s difficulties.  He holds you close when you are down.  He keeps you strong when you are weak.  He is your shelter when you need help.  He is your all in all.  For whoever lives close to God has His spiritual protection and peace.  God Bless.  Amen.
