The older I get, the more I understand the importance of finding balance in your life, whether at home, at work, or when you are doing something fun, can be very hard to do. Balance means an even distribution of or in the correct proportions of. Balance in life deals with a person finding time for God, family, work, play, and self. So is there a good balance in your life? Or do you need to work on changing up a few things to make your life more balanced? Things that you are over doing or not spending enough time doing in your life? For some taking care of yourself is what is out of balance. For others there is too much playing going on. Then others are workaholics, others sit around doing nothing—being lazy. While still other do not focus on family, their family life—self is more important. And for a lot of us balancing out time for God can be nonexistence—for God is not a priority. To maintaining balance in one’s life, one must become intentional about it. It must occur every day, not just once in awhile. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reads, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every matter under the heavens.” It is something for all of us to work on, don’t you think? Balance! God Bless. Amen.
