There is a song called, What a friend we have in Jesus. The first verse goes like this, “What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer!” When you accept Jesus the Christ as your LORD and Savior He becomes part of your life—your friend. A friend is someone you spend time with, someone you tell your hurts and your concerns, your joys, and your sorrows. And to have a good relationship takes time. So how is your relationship with our LORD? Do you spend time with Him? John 15:15 reads, “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” Today, find time to spend with Jesus.
