They say actions speak louder than words. I

They say actions speak louder than words.

July 1, 2025

They say actions speak louder than words. I have found this statement to be true. For what a person does is a more reliable indicator of their true intentions, beliefs, or character than what they say. For our actions are more meaningful and carry more weight than mere words. This statement is about judging someone by their behavior rather than their words. Because our behavior reveals who and what we truly are. For example, you say, “I am going to quit cussing, but you never do.” You talk about it, but you never try or quit cussing. Or you say, “I am going to read the Bible daily, but you get so busy you never make time to read the Bible.” Or you tell others, “I going to be a better spouse, but you never work on the issue to make you a better spouse.” Or you tell your boss, “I will work harder and be on the top of my game, but you never put the time in for this to occur.” James 2:17 reads, “So also faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, it dead.” 1 John 3:18 says, “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” Titus 1:16a tells us, “They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works.” Today, let us not live by empty words let our actions coincide with our words. God Bless. Amen.
