Think before you speak. Why do you constantly

Think before you speak.

September 27, 2025

Think before you speak. Why do you constantly put your foot in your mouth? Why would you slip up saying that? Why would you say something like that? What is your need to say something say that? My mother always said, “If you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all.” Just because you think something does not give you the right to say it. Just because you can say something does not mean that you should say it at all. I do not understand how we have forgotten this, but we seem to have! Proverbs 15:4 reads, “The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.” Today, maybe we need to think before we speak. Maybe we need to ask ourselves, “How would I feel if someone said this about me?” And if we were honest we would never speak the words we wanted to say. It is something to remember. It is something we all need to do! God Bless. Amen.
