Trust!

Trust in the Lord!

July 28, 2026

“In that day they will say, ‘Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us.  This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation’” (Isaiah 25:9 NIV)

“Surely this is our God” these words recognize that the Lord is in fact our God.  By identifying Him through His mighty acts.  When we recognize the Lord, it is then that we learn to trust Him.

“We trusted in Him, and he saved us” this reveals the importance of trusting in God in one’s life.  Trust is an action, not just a feeling.  It is built through daily choices and habits.  When we learn to trust in God, we acknowledge that we cannot control everything.  It is learning to shift our focus and understanding to God, especially when life feels uncertain or confusing.

As we make it through the different situations in life, those moments where we feel all alone, confused, frustrated, and lost we realize that by trusting God we were able to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Trusting God! Such a simple thing to say.  Such powerful words.  So, the next time you want to give up, remember God is there.  God is there to see you through every moment of every day, giving you the strength, courage and hope you need.  Trust in the Lord and when we do we are able to say, we trusted God, let us rejoice and be glad.  God Bless. Amen.
